...that defy description (First Supernatural S5 Promo!)

In the course of the two hours of Supernatural this evening (reruns of "Death Takes A Holiday" and "On The Head Of A Pin"), they aired the FIRST promo for the Season 5 premiere. Yay. :-) I saw it on TV - it was super-short (10 seconds), but the voiceover is by Castiel! :-) It's already up on YouTube, so here's the clip if anyone hasn't seen it yet.

I love that Castiel did the voiceover. I can't wait to see what his story arc will be in this upcoming season. :-)

And also, slightly unrelated note, but I wish Pamela (the psychic) didn't have to die! I finally found out how she died - and it's so sad that Sam and Dean's (however indirectly) actions led to the demon getting her. There are so few awesome female characters on the show that it's frustrating when they go and kill one. I really liked Pamela - however briefly she was in the season. Though it's sobering to think that she was already pretty down on life after Castiel burned her eyes out in the S4 premiere...and yet she decided to assist the boys again. :-(

Hurray! That sound in the promo, jeez, it really does make me want to cover my ears. Castiel's voice was a soothing balm at the end, though. Sep. 10th cannot come quickly enough. HELLLLL

What did happen to Pamela? Any gal who propositions the Winchester brothers for a threesome is someone I care deeply about.

Yeah, I'm with you on the promo. He does have a very soothing voice. Sept. 10 is less than a month away at least! :)

Well, it happened in "Death Takes A Holiday" where the boys ask her to assist them in getting to the bottom of the Reaper situation. They were in a town where reapers were getting taken out, hence no one was dying because the reapers weren't there to collect souls. In order for Sam and Dean to get in contact with any reaper to warn it, they had to become ghosts - to have access to the spirit world. So they became astral projections with Pamela's help (she was very reluctant at first -- she did seem a bit bitter since she was blind with her eyes burned out since "Lazarus Rising").

She said this was heavy duty stuff, but then she gave in and helped Sam and Dean out. Unfortunately, toward the end, a demon got into the room Pamela was in (with the boys' bodies unmoving on their beds since their astral projections were wandering about in the spirit world still) and attacked Pamela. She couldn't do much since she was blind and all - she tried to wake the boys up, but it was no go.

By the time Sam woke up (Dean stayed astral longer because he had angel + reaper business to deal with), it was too late. Sam took care of the demon, but the damage to Pamela was done. Sam told her that they should get her to the hospital, but she's rather adamant that Sam just get her a drink. It's sooo sad. :-( She was pretty much ready to just die...

Love it! :-) Hope you find a good Dean icon to go along with it. ;-)
