*facepalm* Our Merlin -- the original Merlin -- will be in the story. The story would feel incomplete without the finality of Arthur having that talk with his Merlin and assuring him that he won't turn him in.
I suppose it was a bit misleading when I said Merlin's first incarnation -- by that I meant the first time Merlin is *reborn* after his original life in Camelot. The original Merlin would always be labeled as the "original Merlin." I'm sorry for the mix-up. The earliest reincarnated Merlin would be Edmund in this story, I believe, since he was born in the 1400s.

I've already begun writing the wardrobe fic. I made the reason why Arthur and Merlin go hide in the wardrobe as needing to get away from a drunk/tipsy and horny Gwaine (he's eager for a threesome, you know *cough*). And then they discover that the wardrobe leads to another world...
Luckily, the wardrobe fic will have Merlin spending most of his time interacting with Nathan!Merlin. Arthur spends his time with Caspian!Merlin. I felt like being nice to Arthur. ;)
