A gloomy story banner! (my favorite kind :p j/k)

Take 2:

Just downloaded these two fonts: "The Wolf" is in Prince Valiant font face and "The Phoenix" is in the Stonehenge font face. So doing this banner was mostly an excuse to look for new fonts and play around with them. :p

This was meant to be a text-heavy banner...hopefully you can tell that's a wolf. :p Going by the story title, what else could it be? And a black wolf is one of the big reasons why Arthur and Merlin are presently stuck in their unfortunate situation. This will all be explored in the ridiculously long Chapter 5 wherein all hell breaks loose at the end.

I figure since it'll be some time before I post Ch. 5, I'll just make this banner... it does look grim now with the chance that Arthur and Merlin's relationship may never fully recover. But there will be hope, a little bit at least. ;) I sort of feel bad for all the crap I'm going to put Arthur and Merlin through...Merlin more so gets the bad end of the deal. *pets Merlin*

Oh, the fonts are great. Love the Stonehenge one! Yes, I could see immediately that it was a wolf.

Thank you! I pretty much fell in love with the Stonehenge font the moment I saw it. I wanted a sort of flowy, loose font to use for the phoenix part since it feels more fitting for the gracefulness of birds/mythical birds like phoenixes. :p

I wasn't sure for a moment if some might mistake it for a bear because I didn't include his whole body in there. But I'm glad that you saw it for what it was. There's always referencing the title either way.

Ooh - I especially love the wolf font!

Thank you! I like the font too. :) I thought choosing the Prince Valiant font face would be fitting for Arthur as he's the wolf in the story. (Doesn't make him look too good now that I think about it :p)

I believe it was your birthday earlier this week. A belated Happy Birthday to you! I hope you had a nice day. :) ♥ ♥

Thank you. That's definitely what I was going for.

Thanks for letting me know. Good to know my concern was unfounded. I am currently tweaking the banner though...*blushes* It's not just because of the wolf. :p I want to do something with the background since the current white is a bit plain. Hmmm...

Yes. Merlin's not going to have an easy time of it. :( And it's kind of Arthur's fault.
