Merlin/Morgana vid rec: Rolling in the Deep

This was only posted a few days ago by jenskii (an awesome vidder). It's about Merlin and Morgana's love/hate relationship... it's to Adele's Rolling in the Deep, but it's the version featuring John Legend as well. I like that it's the duet version because this song is very much about a broken relationship and it's like you're hearing two sides of the story. Anyone who's seen Glee knows about the song being sung by both Rachel and Jesse... I like this duet with Adele and John Legend better because well, hard for a cover to beat Adele's voice. *nods* The guy is good too. :)

Rolling in the Deep! Despite it being played every couple hours at work, I still love this song (probably because there have been great fanvids of some of my favorite ships set to it, and I sort of drift off, lol). I'd heard both these versions before, but I liked how they were woven together to represent Merlin and Morgana here. I only wish one of the parts had been transposed, as they are in different keys and I kept tilting my head back and forth trying to fit them together.

Although I suppose the only other option to create that great POV effect would be to use the 'Glee' version, and Morgana as Rachel is just....no. (Although Merlin and Jessie could perhaps bond over their shared love of neck scarves?)

Yeah, this version of the song isn't the best -- the original Adele version beats them all, but it's still nice that they made a duet version of the song. It was the first time I heard this particular duet of the song when I found the fanvid. :p

I like that option. Haha yes -- Merlin and Jesse could definitely bond over neck scarves. ;)

You're welcome. :) I had to rec it in my LJ since I loved the song and the clips too. It's sad that Merlin and Morgana will never be together happily, but their current "relationship" offers the chance to make angsty vids for them. Can't go wrong with that. ;)

Thank you! I liked my previous layout, so I'm still not quite sure why I decided to make a change. :p Maybe it was a subconscious thing. Probably not the best time to switch layouts late at night since I spent some time fixing the CSS to my preferences. I'm liking this current layout though. :)
