"The Next Doctor" Christmas Special

OMG, seriously, RTD?
That's all I got. Look, even Rose is annoyed about it.
Okay, I do have to admit I thought Rosita was all right. I especially liked that this Christmas special wasn't so focused on one particular companion just because they're a celebrity (Kylie Minogue). No kissing under the mistletoe for no real reason, thank goodness.
I liked how Rosita proved herself to be a good companion even from the start. Bit annoyed when Morrissey!Doctor kept trying to keep her out of harm's way - reminded me of how the Doctor treated Rose, though she never really listened (coz sometimes the Doctor doesn't realize how much he really needs a companion :-\).

persiflage_1's reaction post that Rosita comes from Rose and Martha combined according to the BBC Fact File. Doesn't make it completely better, but it helps a bit. Though you can't deny anyone would first jump on the blatant, in your face Rose mention. Nice try, RTD. I like Rose, I really do; but she has to rest in peace some day. Let this be the day, please!
I never really bought that Morrissey!Doctor was the real Doctor or any other variation that leads to the Doctor. So I'm glad that turned out fine...he just happened to get the infostamp containing the Doctor's memories. Hmm, okay...not surprising he took on the Doctor's persona after that traumatizing event with the Cybermen. Glad he got his son back in the end though! :-)
Cybermen - not again! Though I suppose, we were spared from them for two seasons, so it was about time for them to appear again. But still...
And the "Cyberking" sort of reminded me of whatever they called that big thing on Power Rangers. T-something? *is forgetful* Anyway, it amused me.
Yay for the infostamp showing all of the Doctors - I got the warm fuzzies when I saw Nine. I miss him! Always fun to walk (however brief) down memory lane. Though I haven't seen any Classic Who yet, I can't help but feel nostalgic. :-(
The TARDIS as a hot air balloon? Cute - what it stood for...right...the "in style" part made me roll my eyes. Creativity, don't run away from it!
Good to see the Doctor take Jackson Lake's offer to have Christmas dinner with them. :-) That was a nice ending. :-)
"Planet of the Dead" will be the next special...how cheerful! LOL.
