2009 Fandom Steel Cage Match (Who I Support)

~ 2009 FANDOM STEEL CAGE MATCH MARCH MADNESS ELITE 8! ~

I find it immensely unfair that Dean Winchester is up against the Tenth Doctor in the Elite 8 Round. That's just wrong! And I admit to voting for Ten over Dean even though I fell in love with Supernatural first and largely due to Dean's character (hadn't even seen an episode of Doctor Who at that point!). I feel bad about that, but it looks like Dean is winning (crazy SPN fangirls even though I am one as well, LOL). I'm all about the underdog and the Doctor can get so emo, he needs some love!

And Veronica Mars is up against Spike from Buffy. I like them both, but Veronica is just too awesome. And she's the underdog too. :-( She needs more appreciation. :( Just because she's up against a vampire doesn't mean she doesn't have the stuff to win. Her investigative skills and the snarky lines...the first season of Veronica Mars was full of win. Too bad the series got cut short, but Veronica was still awesome no matter what.

*done with fangirlish ramble LOL*

Please tell me you voted for Jon Stewart *puppy dog eyes*

Yes, I definitely did. :) How could I not vote for him? Sorry I didn't mention him! Complete fail that he's losing - I love watching The Daily Show. But if it were between him and Stephen Colbert - I don't know what I'd do. That would be a hard decision to make. :(

That would be like choosing a favorite lung! I love them both!

Yes, exactly. Though I fear I'm partial to Stephen Colbert...my friend's love of him has rubbed off on me. I even have his I Am America book.

Lord, Ten or Dean, Ten or Dean, Ten or Dean...Why is life sooooo hard?!

I know! It's just wrong when you have to decide between two awesome characters. :-(

I found it ridiculously easy to vote for Dean over Ten. But that's because I have all these ~issues~ with Ten. (Oh, I have issues with Dean too but they're mostly to do with fandom getting too all-comsuming with the Dean love and it makes me want to hit my head against a brick wall. Kind of like Rose really, in a way.)

Also, all my favourites went out ages ago so I AM NOW TEAM SEELEY. Even though he's going to get knocked out by House D: D: D:

Yeah, it wasn't an easy decision for me either. I really didn't like that I had to choose between the two.

And I agree with having issues with Ten - he can be a bit of a bastard at times.

I just checked and it looks like Dean won, though it was still pretty close. With the way things were going last night, I'm not surprised. At least I like both of them, so in the end, I'm okay with how it turned out.

Jensen Ackles does such a great job with Dean, it's hard not to like him! It is rather similar to the Rose love I guess. I feel like the extremes of the Rose love is worse, but maybe I haven't been in SPN fandom enough to judge. But I can definitely understand it.

Oh, I really do love Dean Winchester a lot but for me, the hype surrounding characters can very easily wreck them for me. Fandom tends to get a little fixated. There's other characters too, you know? But maybe that's just me. (Another example of this is Barney Stinson who I truly do adore but the way fandom gets hysterical every time he opens his mouth gets to me, is all.)

Ha, never get into that fandom properly. They're insane. I was in it (weirdly, that fandom is the one that brought me into livejournal) when the show was end of S2 - S3 and they're just... tiring with the neverending wank and it was just destroying my love for the show, which made me sad. So I left and I don't miss it even a little bit. The show is so much more enjoyable without the, serious.

I haven't seen Barney Stinson in HIMYM, but I've seen a bit of Dr. Horrible. But I don't feel right voting for him if I don't have much to base the vote on.

And as far as SPN fandom, I never really participated in it. I got into after the S1 finale, maybe, but mostly for reading fic. I lurked mostly, never was too interested in joining in discussions. And it looks like that was a wise decision...

Doctor Who fandom was the first that I've really gotten involved in...Harry Potter fandom might come close, but not quite.
